What is the capacity of the hall?
The Rio Terrace Community League Hall can accommodate:

What kind of kitchen facility does it have?
Our hall has a non-commercial kitchen equipped with a rangetop, stove, microwave oven, fridge, and pop cooler. There are no dishes, utensils, or other equipment available, and there is no dishwasher.
What if I want to serve alcohol?
In order to serve alcohol during an event at the Rio Terrace Community League Hall, you will need 1) a liquor license and 2) "host liquor liability insurance" that names the Rio Terrace Community League as an "additionally insured" party in the amount of $2 million.
You are responsible for obtaining the necessary liquor license and liability insurance, and must provide copies of the necessary documents to the rental coordinator before getting the keys.
For information on Host Liquor Liability Insurance, please check with your insurance company. If they do not provide this kind of insurance, the Edmonton Federation of Community Leagues has provided the following information on possible providers (last verified October 2005... for the latest information please go to the EFCL website):
At present, two insurance providers have been identified that a third party can be referred to for the purpose of purchasing host liquor liability insurance;

SPORTS-CAN INSURANCE CONSULTANTS LTD.
Sports-Can is a full service insurance company located in Vancouver. Individuals wishing to purchase insurance from Sports-Can must go through their insurance broker; Sports-Can does not offer direct retail service. A Sports-Can special events liability and host liquor application form can be obtained over the internet.

In all cases, you cannot sell tickets at the door and must know all attendees.
